GC&W was started in 2024 after Jon spent 10 years working for a contractor in the Gallatin Valley. During that time, Jon was immersed into home construction and learned from some of the best people in the Gallatin Valley what works and what doesn't in home construction.

GC&W was started to continue the work of many carpenters before, to make the world a more beautiful place through the artistic and scientific use any building material to add to and fit into the natural elements that surrounds each piece, from houses to the smallest woodwork.

Getting details right is what sets any project apart. Details are the heartbeat and the anchor that makes any piece blend or pop. Whether it is architectural details for your house or that specific edge you want on a table, Jon will work hard to make sure that every detail is right.

GC&W believes that in order to obtain beauty in any work of art, attention has to be paid to the smallest of details. In addition to the smallest details, all the details have to come together to make the whole project, not missing the forest for the trees.
